Who Is the Best Supplier of HDPE Sheets in the UAE?
Any supplier who answers this question with their own name is selling, not advising. A more useful answer is a set of criteria you can apply to anyone — including us.

Why there is no single answer
"Best" depends entirely on what you are buying. A farm needing 800 m² of 0.75 mm liner delivered next week has almost nothing in common with a contractor needing 30,000 m² of certified 1.5 mm textured sheet with a full CQA package and a consultant to satisfy.
The supplier who is excellent at one of those may be poor at the other. So rather than a ranking, here are the things worth measuring — and a way to test them before you commit any money.
Six criteria that matter
1. Traceable certification. Can they provide a mill test certificate carrying the roll numbers actually delivered to your site? A generic product brochure is not a certificate. This is the single most revealing question you can ask.
2. Technical honesty. Ask which thickness your structure needs. A good supplier asks about depth, slopes, subgrade and what the liner will hold before answering. A poor one names a thickness immediately — usually whichever is easiest to sell.
3. Installation capability and evidence. If they install, ask to see an air pressure test log from a recent job with seam numbers, pressures and durations. Crews who test properly have one ready.
4. Scope clarity. Does the quotation state developed area or plan area? Are geotextile, penetration details, seam testing and documentation included or excluded? Ambiguity here is where variations are born.
5. Range. Can they supply the geotextile, the penetration details and the repair service too? Coordinating one supplier across a lining package is materially easier than coordinating four.
6. Responsiveness. How long does a written quotation take, and does it arrive itemised or as a single number? A one-line total is not a quotation, it is a placeholder.
The one-email test
Send every candidate the same message:
"We have a reservoir approximately 50 m × 35 m, 3 m deep, side slopes 1V:2.5H, on sandy-gravel subgrade, to store irrigation water, liner exposed. Please quote supply-only and supply-and-install. State the developed area you have used, the polymer, the nominal and minimum average thickness, the surface finish, the certification standard, whether seam testing and QA documentation are included, and whether geotextile is included."
Then compare the replies rather than the totals. The supplier who answers every point without being chased is the one who will handle your project properly. The supplier who replies with a rate per square metre and nothing else has told you a great deal too.
Warning signs
- A price without questions. Nobody can price lining properly without knowing the geometry.
- "Approximately 1 mm." Thickness is a specification, not an estimate.
- No mention of testing. If seam verification is not in the scope, you are buying sheet and hope.
- Plan area pricing. Slopes and anchor trench are not optional extras.
- Reluctance to name the standard. GRI-GM13 is the reference. A supplier who avoids it is avoiding it for a reason.
- Certificates "available on request" that never arrive. Ask for a sample certificate from a past job before you order.
How we measure up
We would rather be judged than praised. Certificates are issued per consignment traceable to roll numbers. Quotations state developed area, thickness on a minimum-average basis, finish, standard and every inclusion and exclusion. Air pressure test logs are part of the standard handover file. Geotextile and penetration details are quoted alongside the liner. And if your structure does not need the thickness you asked for, we will say so.
Put the email above in front of us and in front of two others, and pick on the answers. That is the honest way to identify the best supplier for your job — and if you want to start, the supply and installation range is set out here or you can go straight to the enquiry form.

Answers for specifiers & buyers
Frequently asked questions
How do I verify an HDPE supplier's material quality?
Ask for a mill test certificate that carries the roll numbers delivered to your site, showing thickness, density, tensile properties, carbon black content and dispersion, stress crack resistance and oxidative induction time. Compare those figures against GRI-GM13.
Should I buy from a manufacturer or a supplier?
Either can work. Manufacturers may offer better rates on very large orders; established suppliers usually carry more grades, shorter lead times and local installation capability. What matters more is certification traceability and scope clarity, which are not exclusive to either.
Is imported geomembrane worse than locally supplied material?
Origin matters far less than specification and certification. Material from a reputable line certified to GRI-GM13 performs to that standard regardless of where it was made. Judge the certificate, not the flag.
How much should I expect to pay?
Roughly AED 15 to AED 95 per square metre supply-only depending on thickness, with installation adding AED 11 to AED 24 per square metre. The price guide gives the breakdown by thickness.
